Back in the late 50’s we decided to re-create an historic board that
was popular when Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys protected our
New England hills. We chose to make them of black walnut, just as they
were in colonial times and to accurately reproduce an heirloom with
the weight, feel and balance of the originals. The subtle contours of
the magnum trencher include a sloped cutting surface with a deep juice
well and perfectly sized handgrips inset on each side. The small
Trencher is a perfect dinner plate or small carver. Over the years,
these boards have gathered an incredibly loyal following and we are
proud to re-introduce them to our line. |
